High IQ – Vegetarian

The recent study says that Intelligent and smart children are more likely to become vegetarians later in life. A Southampton University team found who were vegetarian at 30 had recorded five IQ points more on average at the age of 10. Researchers were able to figure out the reason for this being that vegetarian diet was linked to lower heart diseases and obesity rates. Men who were vegetarians had an IQ of 106, compared with 101 for non-vegetarians. Women who were vegetarians had an IQ of 104, compared with 99 for non-vegetarians.


Vaccine for Cervical cancer

The first effective vaccine to protect woman against cervical cancer is available in Singapore. This vaccine is only for age between 9 to 26. The Health Sciences Authority (HAS) given approval to GARDASIL, made by Merck, Sharp and Dohme. A similar vaccine CERVARIX , from competitor GlaxoSmith is also awaiting approval. This vaccine represents a major health breakthrough.

Self-care methods for PMS include exercise and dietary measures. It is also a good habit to maintain a diary daily and log to record the type, severity and duration of symptoms. Nutritional Supplements like Vitamin B6, Calcium and Magnesium are also recommended.
