Symptom limited sub maximal exercise TMT is indicated for patients with uncomplicated MI to rule out high risk group patients prior to discharge. If test is positive, the patient is strongly motivated to undergo coronary angiography to detect high risk patients for revascularization procedures, otherwise possibility of cardiovascular events are more likely.
