Health Zeal - THE COLOR OF LIFE

Being too clean can make you sick

December 4th 2010 16:38
A new study has indicated that young people may suffer from more allergies if they are overexposed to anti-bacterial soaps containing triclosan. The study also found that excess exposure to higher levels of Bisphenol A among adults might weaken their immune system. Triclosan is widely used in anti-bacterial soaps, toothpaste, pens, diaper bags and medical devices. Bisphenols found in many plastics including lining of food cans. Both are endocrine-disrupting compounds believed to affect health by mimicking or acting on human hormones.
