Cranberry juice prevents Tooth Decay

December 9th 2008 12:18
Cranberry juice gives teeth a non-stick surface to repel bacteria and prevent decay. Research shows that cranberries contain a compound which stops bacteria that creates cavities by sticking to the teeth. The juice has long been used for treating infections of urinary tract. Cranberry is active against the damaging effects of the streptococcus mutant bacteria, which causes dental caries.
