Intra Cardiac Echocardiography

Intra Cardiac Echocardiography is assessment of heart chambers and walls of the heart valves by introducing echocardiographic probe through transfemoral route. This is widely available in India, particularly in the hospitals with tertiary care facilities for cardiovascular procedures. This is ultrasonic visualization of heart structures by keeping echocardiographic probe inside the heart, compared to regular echocardiographic probe, which will be applied over the chest to examine heart structures and flow velocities of blood.
