Heart Failure – Vomiting and Lose of Appetite

July 25th 2009 04:05
In heart failure patients, gastrointestinal system and liver are congested with edema formation, leading to loss of appetite and vomiting. Drugs used in the heart failure such as aspirin and digoxin are associated with kidney failure due to decreased output of the heart and electrolyte imbalance due to diuretics can also produce these symptoms. However proper evaluation and correction of cause and appropriate antiemetic drugs can relieve these symptoms.
