Treatment for PMS
January 13th 2009 05:53
Self-care methods for PMS include exercise and dietary measures. It is also a good habit to maintain a diary daily and log to record the type, severity and duration of symptoms. Nutritional Supplements like Vitamin B6, Calcium and Magnesium are also recommended. Prostaglandin inhibitors like aspirin, ibuprofen may be prescribed for women with significant pain, including headache, backache, menstrual cramping and breast tenderness. Diuretics may be prescribed for women found to have significant weight gain due to fluid retention. Evening primrose oil capsules may also be the better option to minimize the PMS blues.
