Ulnar nerve damage

January 15th 2007 14:36
This is called peripheral neuropathy. It is a common condition associated with diabetes, it occurs as a result of nerve endings not working properly and cause pain.

You need to see a doctor urgently so that he can review your diabetic medication to maximise your sugar controls and stop the condtion from deteriorating.

The doctor will most likely prescribe you a painkiller for neuropathic pain, e.g. amitriptyline, gabapentin etc.
